About Me

Hello and welcome! I’m Sam Brown. I’m a former journalist and current writer and copy editor at Innovative Publishing, Inc., based in Louisville, KY. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky (Class of 2013). I have written copy for print news publications, as well as scripts and web posts during my time as a news producer for various CBS affiliates (WVLT in Knoxville, Gray Television; and WLKY in Louisville, Hearst Magazines). Recent publications include those from Louisville Builder, Crossroads Quarterly, TNSAE Connect, Delivering Performance, Creative Souls Tribe, the New York Times’ College Blog (The Quad), bolde.com, and others.

Outside of my home office, you can find me tirelessly trying to rescue my husband Patrick from the iron-clad grips of a career in restaurant management; or navigating the unpredictable waters of new motherhood; or walking with my daughter Hanigan and two rescue dogs, Blanton and Basil Hayden; or cooking/discovering new bars and restaurants; or in a fitness class somewhere; or hiking to a summit or waterfall; or otherwise exploring our new home in Chattanooga, TN.
